1985 Mercedes-Benz E-Class 250 D review from Netherlands
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The heater control was replaced.
The sunroof motor got replaced.
New front brake disc's and pads every 25000 km.
New hardy-clutch every 50.000 km.
Frequent power window failures.
Windscreen wiper is weak point.
The power locks failed regularly.
Rust is the biggest enemy of this car, especially years 85 - 88.
General comments?
The MB W-124 series is one of the best cars on the street, today still.
Best buys are 89 - 94 models.
Beware of rust.
Great cruiser, smooth ride, great mileage.
