I guess it's not a wagon. I had a 1989 LS wagon, but I'd rather not talk about it. At least it had a lot of power, when it wasn't broken.

I just purchased a 1990 sable wagon, the car rides great, but there is one big problem. The car stalls out at normal acellaration after a stop. I put tons of dough into trying to fix the problem, but no skilled mechanic can come up with a solution. The power steering pipe went which cost me a cool 130 to replace. Boy was I suckered, the guy sold it for 1700 hundred and I thought it was a great deal. Well, I got hosed really bad. I put almost half of what I paid for the car into trying to get it fixed. I will never buy another product from ford.

I have a 1990 Mercury Sable LS 3.8 engine. I love this car. I love the agility, the cornering. I very rarely lose a challenge in this car. This car rides so well that ford needs to duplicate it exactly as it is.

I've had the very bad leaky power steering hose problem. I tried replacing the hose with products from the neighborhood auto parts retailers, but not until I purchased the part from the Ford dealer was my problem solved.

I love the ride on this car so much that I guess I will repair 4-ever.

I Have A 1990 Mercury Sable LS. I love this car. My friends all love it to. A couple of friends of mine have a Tempo and Cavalier and I smoked both of them. Ford sure can build them well. I enjoy the performance as well as the room. I have only added premium plugs next K&N filters.

I am looking to buy a 2003 Mustang SVT Cobra, but if the money isn't there I will look at other Mercury Sables.

I bought a 1988 Sable 3.0 v6 for $400. My, I love this car, I love it more than my mother's 92 sable. It is faster, wheel is tighter, and it purrs better than my car. But alas, I hit a pole going 15 in the rain and it is out of commission. Hopefully I didn't blow a gasket... a replacement radiator would be great for my budget.

I bought a 1990 Sable with the 3.0. I loved the power of the 3.8, but was afraid of the head gasket issue. Because of the car's width, even when I had 5 friends in it, it would out handle almost anything on the road. And I got 30 mpg out of it. I would have still had it today, but it saved my life when someone cut me off and sent me into a 360 and smashing into a gardrail at 75+ mph. Surprizingly all it needed was a tierod end, hood, fender, two light assemblies (the lights still worked though). It was the greatest car I owned. Eventhough all my friends laughed at me for buying one by choice at 19 :-)
