1979 MG B 1.8 from North America

Summary:

My MG B is a fun car to drive

Faults:

This MG B has only 30K miles and is in excellent condition, always garage kept. Only 691 miles driven in the last 3 years and only 6K in the last 17 years.

Very lucky to have found this MG and can you believe it; "in my own local". I am the third owner and I have the original paper work on the MG. I previously had a Midget 1978 and have always regretted selling it. Now I have a B and will never ever sell. My nine year old son also says he will never sell it.

General Comments:

Sorry I'm excited about the MGB and have reversed the comments here. I'm 54 years old and get excited about this car. I'm sure I'll have problems, but will enjoy working on it with my son.

1979 MG B 1.7 petrol from North America

Faults:

I'm in Massachusetts, USA and rust is the biggest problem. As with any classic, there is no formal support infrastructure, but there are clubs and informal networks of mechanics who can help owners. Parts for MGBs are readily available from several mail order houses.

General Comments:

This is a fun summer car that attracts attention. Driving it puts you in touch with the road, and the wind in your hair keeps you young.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know
