1970 MG BGT GT 4 cylinder from North America

Summary:

A car with character and charm

Faults:

Restoration of body and interior, mechanics have been flawless.

General Comments:

Beautifully detailed sports car, in every regard. Sounds better than any modern car and has a higher build quality.

1970 MG BGT 1.8 petrol from Australia and New Zealand

Faults:

Rear drum brakes failed six-monthly car fitness test ("W.O.F.") but cost only NZ$90 to fix.

Blown one fuse and one brake light in 14 months.

General Comments:

Be very careful when buying an MGB-GT - they are often thrashed. Read some of the excellent books available and know your stuff before you buy! Buy via a dealer if possible - gives you some legal recourse if you discover the car is a heap.
