1995 MG F VVC 1.8i from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Good, and don't believe the bad press

Faults:

Brake pads needed replacing, electrics on windows needed replacing.

General Comments:

One of the most reliable cars I've owned, despite the bad press. No head problems or overheating, great drive, cool looks and great for sunbathing. Excellent handling overall, and apart from the consumables, no great expense (approx 36MPG).

I've heard for every one made, there is a lemon made, so I've probably been lucky.

One of the previous owners did complete rebuild in 2007; engine, electrics, computer, even carpets. Downgraded the engine from VVC to a standard 1.8i... Could explain the reliability and low fuel consumption.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
