1997 Mitsubishi Diamante Super Saloon review from Australia and New Zealand
"Poorly designed automatic transmission lets this good car down"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The automatic transmission failed completely at 94000 km. A retaining clip came away from the main housing causing metal filings that contaminated the solenoid and sealing rings.
The transmission failed again at 96400 km and was repaired.
It is showing signs of failing again at 104700 km.
General comments?
Comfortable car to drive. Very quiet.
Expensive to service at 100000 km.
