2005 Mitsubishi Galant ES 2.4 from North America

Summary:

Performance, handling, good mileage

Faults:

Nothing wrong so far. Safety and emissions test successfully passed at 29000 km's.

General Comments:

Great car so far, excellent performance for a 2.4, and good on gas when I don't speed too much.

I was relucant to buy used, however far so good. It's a really fun car to drive, the 4 cylinder engine uses regular gas and has 160 horse power - I think this would be fine for most people. The 6 cylinder requires premium gas.

Anyway, the Galant costs less than its rivals Toyota, Honda, etc - plus it offers more in terms of features. My relatives have had a Galant for a few years, and speak well about its reliability, they even bought a second last year.

2005 Mitsubishi Galant ES 2.4L SOHC from North America

Summary:

Awesome

Faults:

Nothing to date.

General Comments:

The Galant is a large step down compared to my Olds Aurora for having everything. But that's it!! The Olds was the worst car I've ever had. The Galant ES is a very classy looking car with a zippy 2.4L engine.

Cons: It's a 4 cylinder. I've always been a V8 guy, but this 4 banger has enough spark off the line to keep me satisfied.

Still getting use to what could be blind spots. Being a tall guy, I need the head rest all the way up. They get in the way when I'm backing up or shoulder checking.

Pros:

The look of it. Looks like a B-mer from the side and a Caddy from the back.

Gas mileage, as long as you don't do too many zippy starts.

The ride is smooth and solid. Handling is great.

And are you kidding me... 10 year warranty... 5 year bumper to bumper... 5 year roadside asst.

Reasons like that are why North American car sales are tanking.
