2013 Mitsubishi L200 Cd 4wd High power 2.5 turbo diesel from Ivory Coast
Summary:
Practical and economical
Faults:
It keeps leaking oil through the dipstick. It was repaired 8 months ago and the rings, pistons, etc were replaced.
Nowdays, since it's leaking oil from the same place, the rings were changed again.
However, after the repair, it still leaks oil, although in less quantity. I want to clarify that the pick up doesn't present any problems, such as loss of power or failures.
General Comments:
The pick up is suitable for work, but also practical for family travel and off roading. It's tough, versatile and reliable.
It surprised me with its poise on the road, there's a good level of soundproofing, and, above all, it inspires confidence behind the wheel and feels stable.
It's neither fast or slow, but it does feel energetic. The torque has all the punch needed to carry the up to 1.000 kg it can carry in the bed. Plus, being a diesel, there is no need to rev it too much. It's an engine well versed in the needs and tasks of a vehicle of this type.
The 6 speed automatic transmission is great, I was surprised by how smooth the shifts were. There is virtually no bobbing.
