1987 Mitsubishi Raider review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had to replace something on the front end that broke. It kept the tire from moving side to side. Maybe the rocker arm. I am not sure what it is called. The usual maintence like clutch, brakes, and shocks. All this after 100,000 miles. I bought the Raider used with 104,000 miles and I am not sure what the previous owner had done to the vehicle.
General comments?
Great vehicle for my needs. I have heard many good comments since I bought the Raider a year ago. I heard the Mitsubishi 4 cylinder engine is one the best engines and very low maintence. There are still many Raiders or Monteros around the Island that look very nice. Great for getting to the beach that are down in valleys with very steep roads that only four wheel drive vehicles are allowed on. I also use the Raider to drive on lava rock trails that lead to the beaches, it's a bumpy ride but the Raider handles it well.
