1954 Morgan 4/4 Sports 2.0 leaded petrol from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Ultimate driving experience

Faults:

This car is great, but aside from some problems this is a great car. The water gasket and pumps tend to go, along with the paint.

Brakes have worn out as well.

General Comments:

This company has not made very many of these, in fact they only made about 25 of this type. This is a great car and I would buy another one, especially the new Aero 8 which just came out at the Detroit motor show.

1991 Morgan 4/4 1.6 OHC from UK and Ireland

Summary:

A stunning drive

Faults:

Replacement hoses.

Replacement spark plugs and leads.

Patches of surface rust.

General Comments:

The front suspension needs rebuilding every 40,000 miles or so (to replace the king pins).

This is not the car for you if you enjoy your comforts, however if you like to be close to the road with the wind in your hair, you can do no better!

Needs frequent small maintenence jobs, e.g. greasing the suspension, derusting etc.

The parts are usually standard Ford or Rover (dependent on the type of engine). Other parts are readily available, as are custom upgrade kits etc.

Morgans hold their value like nothing else. Mine is 9 years old, and is still worth within £3000 of the purchase price!
