1989 Nissan S-Cargo Four-cylinder from North America

Summary:

Interesting little delivery van for the city

Faults:

A few electrical issues, sourcing tires and parts.

General Comments:

This is a nice little interesting delivery van. It’s French inspired. The shape and style is pretty much like the Citroen 2CV delivery van.

For a small vehicle it’s got loads of head space and head room. It’s very tall; that’s what you want in a cargo van because you’re gonna be loading stuff back there.

The height of the vehicle is pretty interesting; despite its size it’s actually taller.

Some people say it looks bad, but it looks ugly, so people say it’s the ugliest car ever, well some people say oh that’s a goofy looking thing, and I agree that it’s a goofy looking thing.

It could only fit two or three people; the rest of the space is for cargo.

There are some weird things about the car though. One of them is the windows; there’s two parts to the windows. There’s the upper part which is fixed which you cannot roll down and then there is the lower part which you could roll up and down into the door, and also sometimes the mirrors fall down. They fold in and you have to adjust them.

Also, another thing that you have to take note of if you get one of these is, it’s an older car. It’s got a smaller fuel tank and a carbureted four-cylinder paired to a three speed automatic, which is not really good for highways. I like to joke around and say it’s perfect for highways, but it’s not really that great for highways, because if you drive it on highways, you end up with half a tank and you have to fill it, especially if you go for long trips, you have to keep constantly filling it.

Besides the weird crazy goofy stuff and things like that, it just drives like a normal car. It just drives like an economy car or something like that, except for you have tons and tons of head space above you, but yeah it feels like an economy car; that’s because it is based off of the mechanicals of an economy car, it feels like an economy car, even though it’s right hand drive, but it drives good and it’s perfect in the cities.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know
