1984 Nissan Urvan SGL 1.9 litre petrol from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Light

Faults:

It has a massive blind spot, which made reversing very difficult. It was backed into many objects over the time I had it.

The clutch went at 150 Kay's.

Brakes where rebuilt at 200 Kay's.

Rusted badly in the doors and floor (in the end).

General Comments:

I bought this car as it had nine seats and it could carry my seven children. I bought it new in the mid 80s.

In hindsight, it was a tinny gutless car, but it did the job. My kids (and me!) slowly wrecked it over 26 years.

It was essentially a delivery van with seats in it. It steered well, and it had decent pick up.

Parts where very hard to get. Even when it was reasonably new. It can't have been a big seller.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
