1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 3.1 V6 multiport system from North America

Summary:

A stylish all around car

General Comments:

This car is roomy and quick off line. It's beaten many cars.

1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme International 3.4L 24v DOHC from North America

Summary:

High performance, value priced vehicle

Faults:

When I first bought the car, the Timing belt went on it, I thought that I had just bought a lemon... but since then... its been perfect.. (Knocking on wood).

General Comments:

I love this car, 215 Horses under the hood, I had it up to 185 Km-ph and she was steady... my last car I had up to 140 and the steering was shaking severely...

I like the Leather seats... you just sink right into them, and on long trips, its a comfortable drive... I don't let anyone drive my car, because its such a treat to drive...I've had it for a little while and still consider it a "new" car...

I bought this car for $1000.00! what a steal. This great looking high performance car is going to be a collectors dream in the future. Mine is black with gray leather, and tinted windows. this is truly one of the great American sports cars. I have been offered $3000.00 more than I paid, and of course turned it down. This cars design $ performance are second to none, including anything from Europe & Japan, (or for that matter any other car manufacturer). My car has only had one previous owner, who ordered it new from G.M. It has 110,000 miles on the clock, and runs & drives perfect. If you have the good fortune to purchase a car such as this, don't hesitate. Grab the opportunity. You won't be sorry. Mine is equipped with the 3.1L engine, and the auto overdrive trans. I recently added an Alpine 6 disk changer. this car goes like a scalded cat! Good luck in finding one of these rare high end cars. From one lucky guy, KINGRALPH.

1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass SL Supreme 3.1, I think from North America

Summary:

Well...........

Faults:

Front end going bad (strange knocking every once in a while).

Digital readout has intermittent problems (I guess 1988-89 Cutlass Supremes' had this problem too).

Replaced all bolts/lugnuts in both front wheels (mysteriously snapped!)

Side mirrors won't adjust to the right (probably electrical corrosion)

Interior falling apart (all vinyl held on with cheap plastic screws).

E-brake (kind you push with your foot) works 30% of the time

Antenna will not go all the way up\down.

General Comments:

I LOVE this car. Too bad I have a sinking feeling that the whole front end is gonna have to be replaced. A lot of these problems could have been avoided, but the car has 150,000 hard driven miles on it for pete's sake!

1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL 3.4 L DOHC from North America

Summary:

A comfortable sports sedan with a high priced engine

Faults:

Alternator... $650.. ouch.

The brakes had a lot of mysterious problems right up to the day I sold it. They would completely fail to work at times. Not good in rush hour traffic.. caused a 4 car accident (obviously my fault). They would get extremely hot and smoke. You could burn your hand on the rim.

And about once a month, it would not start. Not even make a noise when you turn the key. Let it sit for a few minutes, and it would start fine.

General Comments:

I hated this car when I had it. Now that I've sold it, I miss it so much. Sure it had an unreliable and horribly expensive engine. But it was so comfortable and loaded with options. Now that I have a '92 Lumina, my Cutlass doesn't even compare. The Cutlass could eat the Lumina for lunch.

But I still cannot believe the repair bill! 4 places turned me down when I took it in for a service. They said they simply don't have the time or the equipment to work on that engine.

1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL 3.1L V6 from North America

Summary:

The best car I've ever owned. And I've owned 12 cars so far

Faults:

Replaced two batteries.

Tires.

Alternator.

Rlectrical harness behind the steering column (it was rubbing against a metal bracket and shorted - Olds paid for this fix).

The speedometer (which now reads "Error" on metric because it can't handle the high odometer reading).

This thing even has the ORIGINAL lights except for the 3rd brake light and 1 side marker...

Original exhaust... original just about everything at 147K miles!!! And it still runs great!!!

General Comments:

Powerful, comfortable and reliable... I love this vehicle. Wish I knew what to do when it hits 200K miles and can't keep count on the odometer any more, and also wish the brackets didn't push into the trunk when it closes (crushing groceries some times).

BEST VEHICLE I HAVE EVER OWNED!!!!!!!!!! I now drive a Buick Century (1997) and am hoping for the same results... but I have kept the Olds because it's too good to let go for what it's now worth.

I agree, I have a 90 I series I bought in 89. This thing still runs like new. This is truely the best car I have ever owned. Just had it repainted and slapped on new chrome wheels and it's a looker. I intend to keep it as long as I can.

1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calias 2.5 Tech 4 from North America

Faults:

The down shift switch located inside trans. went bad in 20 thousand miles and had to be replaced at owners expense, out of warranty because of time, not miles.

General Comments:

Fantastic fuel mileage, better than any V. W. I ever owned.
