1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass S 3.3L V6 from North America

Summary:

If you want a great car get this model before it's too late!

Faults:

The car failed emissions test badly which after a little T.L.C. it passed with flying colors. Nothing else has gone wrong with the car since.

General Comments:

This car is really reliable.

However, the leather interior can be extremely hot on the butt in the summer.

It has lots of power for it's size.

Good looking car too.

It would be cheaper if you buy another one.

1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Sedan 3.1 Litre V6 from North America

Summary:

A nice comfy sports sedan.

Faults:

Well, for starters, when I got the car, the Power Steering pump leaked.

The brake pedal shook violently when applied.

The Head Gasket blew at 184,000 miles, and cost me $1,000 and change to fix. There were some other things that he did, Changed the oil, put on a few missing hose clamps, Ect.

The Starter selenoid is beginning to die, so I have to turn the key a few times and listen to an embarrassing click (I'm in high school) before I turn the key and the engine starts.

The gas mileage SUCKS!

General Comments:

I really like my car. A standard would really be nice to have, but it not all that important.

The 3.1 is nice and quick. I can easily beat a Honda Civic (I really don't like them... too many around my school) and this has caused me to get into a few fights!

I've had it up to 115 and the engine hadn't even kissed Overdrive yet.

1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme International 3.4 DOHC from North America

Summary:

A terrible and maintenance costly excuse of a car

Faults:

The alternator was replaced by the dealership two days after I purchased it.

Both of the timing belts were replaced.

The brake pads have been replaced numerous times.

The brake switch has been replaced twice.

The entire anti-lock braking system had to be rebuilt.

The front upper engine strut has been replaced.

The lower intake manifold, and the intake gaskets have been replaced.

The thermostat, and gasket has been replaced twice.

I have had electrical problems with the power windows, the horn, and the moon roof.

I have had some problems with the interior, such as the door paneling falling off, the emergency brake release breaking off, and the casing on the seat belt breaking.

General Comments:

When the car is running, the engine performance is great.

It has a lot of power.

It is a very comfortable car to travel in.

The brake system has been very unreliable. I have had major problems with it in the time that I have owned it. I go through brake pads like crazy, have had the brake switch replaced twice at four hundred dollars each time, and in the end had to have the entire ABS completely rebuilt. That job cost me three thousand, two hundred dollars from the dealership.

I have also had problems with the cooling system. I have had the lower intake manifold and gaskets replaced, along with the thermostat and gasket, twice. This job cost me one thousand, four hundred dollars.

I have electrical problems with the windows, they work inconsistently. The horn blows whenever it feels like it, and the moon roof also works sporadically.

The door panel on the passenger side has fallen off numerous times, and the driver side seatbelt has broken.

The 3.4 sucks. The 3.1 rules. The antilock BRAKE SYSTEM sucks, but with regular system, it's fine. My car rules! Find one like mine, and you will be very happy. KING RALPH!
