Summary:
Not a bad car, but a bit boring
Faults:
The thermostat often gets stuck (open or closed), causing overheating or preventing the engine from reaching its normal operating temperature, thereby increasing fuel consumption.
Leaks in the coolant reservoir or hoses and early failures in the water pump.
Mild to moderate oil consumption occurs if short maintenance intervals are not observed for turbo engine blocks.
Slight play or whistling sound from the turbocharger wastegate over time/mileage.
Wear on the clutch pedal or slight jerking when demanding maximum power in high gears due to erroneous sensor readings.
General Comments:
The car itself has a great look, giving it a sporty appearance while featuring design details that really stand out, especially with the 19-inch low-profile wheels found on the Sport version. The interior is spacious, particularly for rear-seat passengers; two people can travel very comfortably, though the Sport version features an electronic parking brake, and the center console still gets in the way of the middle rear passenger. Headroom was good, and the trunk didn't look small. No issues there at all.
Regarding equipment, I found it to have only the bare essentials; I was particularly struck by the fact that, for a car costing 16 million, it lacks features like leather seats or a rearview camera. I was also left with an impression of cheapness, which doesn't even have a USB port, something I find unacceptable at this price point. Moving on to the "Sport" version, it features a six-speaker audio system and a two-color display (yellow and black, rather than standard black and white) that shows vehicle health information.
As for the driving experience: although the engine responds very well to changes in acceleration, behind the wheel I didn't get a sensation that differed much from cars in a lower segment; in terms of handling, it even felt just like the new Ford Fiesta. I was able to test the braking and the car's response on inclines, and there were absolutely no issues. I did intentionally accelerate hard to gauge its response, since all cars tend to react similarly when driven at a "grandpa" pace.
Regarding features I couldn't test but did ask about while driving, I was surprised that the front passenger airbag is deactivated manually rather than automatically; I’m not sure what to make of that, but it left me feeling like safety wasn't a top priority. On the plus side, I really liked the exterior lighting system, as it features smart technology that adapts to the road conditions.
Overall, looking beyond its general appearance, I could sense that quality people always talk about—being overrated. In any case, the Sport version is quite expensive considering what the vehicle actually offers in terms of reliability, comfort, and safety.
