1991 Opel Calibra 2000i 16v from Portugal

Summary:

A car made by the hands of God

Faults:

The only thing that gone wrong with the car was the oil veins corrosion.

And some traces of a 12 year old car... and the electrical roof.

In the interior some plastic parts are starting to open... crashing... because of the sun.

General Comments:

In my dream of a kid... I really love that car... that's a BOMB... despite of 1991 my origin, the black paint is quite like it has been painted yesterday.

That car is my second girlfriend.

Everybody likes it!!!

I completely agree with your out look on the Calibra. My cousin has a H reg version and it is a beautiful looking thing and very fast!

1991 Opel Calibra 16V 4x4 from Poland

Summary:

Despite it's problems, I still love this car

Faults:

Mostly electrical problems, oil leaks, some rust appearing at the door in the recent year.

General Comments:

Nice looking car and it's joy to drive.

Small problems coming back can get annoying.

With my current local fuel prices, pretty expensive to run.

1991 Opel Calibra 2.0l from Norway

Summary:

A rare care for keep!

Faults:

Had some problem with water leaking into the car.

The ABS brakes indicating that there is something wrong with my brakes. Think it's the sensors.

The most irritating problem is rust.

General Comments:

For such a old and really not expensive car it's very comfortably and silent to drive.

And this car looks great too!

I will never sell my car, I'll always keep my Calibra. I'll put it away when too old, and take it out in the summer time.

1991 Opel Calibra 16v 2.0i 16V C20XE from Denmark

Summary:

Chicks love it!!

Faults:

I imported the car from Switzerland, so here in Denmark I needed to MOT-test it (we have almost the same procedure, MOT every second year if the car is older than 4 years).

So... things needed to be done:

- Gasket at the end of gearbox changed

- New brake discs/pads

- Side blinkers (req in Denmark)

Else? Just fill up with some petrol :O)

General Comments:

Drives great. It's a worthy follow-up to the Manta, back in the eighties remember :O)

One of the most beautiful coupes around I think.

The 16V's performance is good.

156hk (Swiss model) combined with F20 CR gearbox... What can I say?

Dream machine!

1991 Opel Calibra 2.0 i 16v petrol from France

Faults:

The main problem I had with this car is that I replaced the OEM spark plugs by Splitfire spark plugs. This change made my car run poorly. So I removed these sparkplugs by OEM S.P. and the car now runs very well.

General Comments:

A breathless design with a good engine.

So the problem was caused by you, not really a problem of the car then.
