1990 Opel Corsa City SR 1.0 ohv from Malta

Summary:

Reliable, easy to park and drive

Faults:

Nothing mechanical.

Just a few patches of rust, which have been easily cleared.

General Comments:

A respected, but straightforward designed car.

This car can give you the impression of going fast at 80km/h like no other car I have been in.

From the drivers seat and overlooking the hood you can imagine driving a 70s car, yes right a 70s not an 80s car, the sound of the engine supports this feeling too.

The car inside is small, but it works well for a couple, mine is a 2 door anyway.

The features and extras of this car are poor, but the ones I have are all functioning after 15 years, a wonder!

However, there is a huge compartment below the dash itself and I have never seen one as big as this one in any other car.

The car is very economical. I barely notice the petrol gouge moving in the range of 1/2 a tank to 1/4 of a tank.

The brakes are not very responsive, even after having changed the pads and the oil it takes about 3metres for the car to stop when driving at 60km/h.

Concluding, I really admire this car for giving a helping hand in car handling skills. It is easy to drive and the steering is very sensitive when approaching curves the car turns smoothly at all speeds.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know
