2002 Opel Corsa Comfort 1.4 from South Africa

Reliable and cheaper maintenance

Petrol pump top cracked and cylinder head damaged at 205000km, problem indeed..

General Comments:

Good on gas, head gaskets pop frequently, steering wheel wears quickly.

2002 Opel Corsa GLS 1.4 petrol from India

My everlasting Crush

My exhaust pipe had to be replaced at 55000Km.

Fuel consumption not good.

General Comments:

A really good car. The best driving pleasure a car can give. Spares are slightly expensive, but hardy requires for any replacement.

A very steady and road hugging drive.

Lots of power and pep.

A must buy, but a pity that its discontinued in India.

2002 Opel Corsa Lite 1.4 i from South Africa

The most fun to drive car in the world

Nothing has gone wrong with the car and it is performing as well as it did from day one.

The car received a gentle bump at a traffic light and sustained a lot more damage than I would have expected it to.

General Comments:

The car performs extremely well for it's class beating almost all of its rivals from traffic light to traffic light.

It tends to lack grip when taking sharp corners, but it is not difficult to stay in control of the car at all times. This is probably because of its thin wheels.

Breaking is decant, as can be expected with thin wheels and no ABS.

Absolutely nothing has gone wrong with the car as of yet (48000km) although I am a bit of a conservative driver and I make sure that the car is regularly serviced.

The car looks good, sounds fine and has a quality interior with no rattling.

I would recommend a new corsa lite to anyone who is on a tight budget and wants a fun little car that will not give him hassles any time soon.

My Corsa Lite 2002 was good in the beginning, but seems to be giving me some trouble now with the steering - it also has just done 48000 km - Daniel South Africa.

Grip has to do with tires and wheel-alignment, nothing more.

I am actually thinking of buying one of these models, I've just got rid of my old 93' Sport C14NZ. A really nice car by the way, really love Corsas.

I would never buy any other make than Opel/Vauxhall.
