2007 Opel Zafira Cosmo OPC line 1.9 CDTI turbo diesel from Sweden

Summary:

Expensive family-hauler from GM

Faults:

Tie rods, fuse box, filler cap, battery.

General Comments:

Roomy and practical.

Good performance from the 1.9 150 HP turbo diesel engine.

Very comfortable.

Too expensive to run.

Electrical components fail, tail lights brittle, door bottoms starting to rust.

Poor warranty and bad dealer service.

Parts, taxes and insurance are immensely expensive, and the resale value is next to nothing.

2007 Opel Zafira Enjoy Panoramic 1.8 from South Africa

Summary:

You get what you pay for

Faults:

My dashboard is coming apart, especially at the top of the OBC screen and air vents.

My steering wheel is offset from the day I got the car.

The carpets that are glued on to the 3rd row of seats, have fallen off, due to the glue not holding it in place.

Lots of rattles from the dash and boot area.

General Comments:

It has a lot of space, very versatile with its clever seating system, and has average performance for an MPV.

Needs a tighter suspension.

The Glue holding the carpet to the third row of seats had come off, hense the carpet has fallen off.

The Handbrake slips.

General Comments:

The Car is big and spacious, and is pretty nippy.

However the interior build quality is poor, unlike the Opel Meriva, which is rather solidly built.
