2008 Peugeot 307 HDI Wagon 2.0 turbo diesel from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Nice to look at and nice to drive!

Faults:

Usual surging at times. ECR valve cleaned etc. Better, but not perfect. Apart from that, the car has performed well through all sorts of weather. I live on a dirt road, so it has to put up with all sorts of bad conditions, but I always feel safe and in control.

All works fine, inside and out, except for a slight rattle in the tail gate plastic fittings, which could be solved with some padding if I bothered.

Please note no dealers for repairs - you need to take them to a French car specialist to get the difficult stuff fixed, as ordinary mechanics are not familiar with their quirks, like Swedish and Italian cars.

Like all cars, you need to keep up the maintenance and check the car regularly for issues.

General Comments:

This is the 2.0L turbo wagon with over-boost for high speed passing and 6 speed Porsche Geartronic box, so a very powerful quick car with ABS, EBT and ESC; not much can take it on from a start, but they try though!

This car has very stiff handling and a very taut body, so the handling is good, but comfort may be a little too harsh for some.

A little surprised that this model only has the leather steering wheel and had no leather option...

The 2.0 L turbo wagon, as late as possible, is the best pick as it is bigger and wider than the saloon or hatch versions.

Very heavy solid car that has a good accident rating, especially for side impact crashes.

Still has a character of its own, and gets lots of long looks, as it is the metallic Touring red and tinted windows; very smart.

2008 Peugeot 307 XS Touring HDi 1.6 turbo diesel from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

The perfect family car

Faults:

Nothing at all.

General Comments:

Love this car. Handles very well, ample power from the 1.6 turbo diesel.

Amazing fuel economy (900 kms city driving, 1400 kms highway driving on 55 litres) Touring wagon has huge boot. I would say this would have to be the perfect family car... it's just that Australia doesn't know it yet.

It's early days so hopefully I don't have reliability problems (I made sure I got 6 years and 160,000 kms warranty just in case).

2008 Peugeot 307 from Trinidad and Tobago

Summary:

I love the car but not the computer.

Faults:

Auto Gear Fault!!!

Problem solver put in a Nissan SR20decross bred that Peugeot. The car is faster, parts are easier "engine wise," and I don't have to use the high octane gas...

General Comments:

This car is seriously quick and handles like it is on rails.
