1989 Plymouth Laser RS 2.5 Liter from North America

Summary:

Good muscle car with great pickup

Faults:

I've replaced about 6-7 headlights in 13 years.

Engine was replaced at 140,000 miles after serious problems developed.

Interior roof of car started falling getting loose after about 11 years.

In the last year, many mechanical problems have developed, concentrated in the engine compartment.

Alternator replaced in 2002 for first time.

General Comments:

The car was extremely reliable from the time I purchased it new in 1989 until about 2001 when one problem after another developed (never the same one twice).

There is very little seating room in the rear of the car unless you're a small child.

You sit very low to the ground in a Laser and it turns on a dime.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
