1936 Plymouth P-2 201 cubic inch from North America

Summary:

A real warm weather fun car

Faults:

Gas gauge doesn't work.

Two sets of tires since I've owned it.

Generator quit charging.

Right front wheel bearing failed.

Mechanical fuel pump was replaced with an electric one before I bought it, probably because of availability & vapor lock.

General Comments:

This is a rumble seat convertible; lots of fun to drive if you're not in a hurry. It cruises at 52 m.p.h.

It is presently using 50 weight oil; I may switch to 60 weight soon.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know

I think driving a 1936 car in 2007 is awesome. It's been my dream to have a 1929 Model A Ford pickup to drive to town shopping once a week. And living in Alaska, or another remote area, the older car will be sturdier and better able to stand up to bad roads than some Honda sedan.
