"This is a lemon of a vehicle"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I have already replaced the transmission twice and the transmission is faulty again.

I had to replace the air conditioning compressor this year.

General comments?

I would not recommend this vehicle to anyone.

I've had the same diagnosis as you this year. Mine has 112K on it, I replaced the transmission at 58K and it's out again. The compressor, I've been told, will cost $1,400 to replace on top of the $2,500 for the new transmission. I could find a good used car for almost $4,000...

Even though the van was out of warranty when the transmission blew the first time, I looked around on the internet and found some sites with instructions on how to get Chrysler to basically give you a new transmission the first time around. They know it sucks and they don't need the bad press. They gave me a rebuild, but I only ended up just paying for the labor to put it in. Saved me $2,100.

Aside from the transmission, though, most of my costs have been normal wear and tear sort of things (battery, belts, etc.). And if I set aside the total of two weeks I've had it in the shop over the last 7 years, it's been a decent vehicle for me overall.

I've also had the same problem I went through 3 transmissions

all in the space of 2 years and also 2 air con compressers.

Would not buy again.
