1993 Pontiac Firefly 1.0L 3banger from North America

Summary:

Great!

Faults:

The engine just quit at 218000 km. It had had a bad tick in it, it did not have much compression, and on the last drive it misfired a number of times, crawled into the driveway, and died. So I replaced the engine, and she is running like new, EXCEPT I only get 32 miles per gallon! So, can anyone tell me which hose or line was left off, because I am used to getting 50mpg, even out of the old, almost dead engine.

General Comments:

I think all the Sprints, Fireflies and Geo's are the Volkswagen of today. They are a simple no nonsense reliable and very cheap to run car.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
