I have question, I have a 92 Grand Prix, it runs great, I agree the dash board light s give false readings. My problem is that while the car is running it shuts off then it will start immediately. This happens maybe once or twice while driving an hour or more. I have put a new fuel pump, filters and sensors any thoughts. Walter at wts57@aol.com.

I own a 1992 Grand Prix LE and I LOVE MY CAR!!! It's the only car I've owned at my mere 19 years of age. I've had it for nearly three years now, and it still runs great! I have had a couple problems with various sensors, etc. but nothing big. Oh... yeah... the brakes... Rear brakes have been a real pain. Luckily, I have a great mechanic and nearly all work has been covered on warranty. I think the problem lies within a poor caliper design. The car has nearly no physical blemishes which is great for its age. But like I said, the car is rather peppy off the line to this day and the tranny is still strong. All I can say about Grand Prix's is that they are one of the best cars on the road. Winter handling is far greater than any car my parents have ever owned. They'll admit that. They weight is distrubuted superbly from end to end.

Thanks,

Kyle from MI.

Well I recently bought a 1992 Grand Prix LE, and the car looks and sounds sharp. A month away from my 19th birthday and found a car the looks and sounds beautiful without going over board. When I start it, it purs like a kitten, and at a traffic light it can even beat a ford Taurus SHO of the line. This car is great, and I plan on keeping it around for a long time.

Any suggestions on what could make it look even more awesome

I have a 1992 Grand Prix LE with 3.1L V6. It's still in good condition and had the engine rebuilt less than a year ago. The only problems I have now that I didn't cause is the dash board cluster which has been known to go bad with false speedometer readings, trip meter and odometer not working, and lights giving false readings. Other than that it still runs great. About 4 months ago I got in an accident on the highway and rear-ended a Chevy truck at 45 MPH the only damage done to the car was the bumper cracked and the lights got smashed. Overall it's a good car with plenty of power.
