The worst thing about the car is the rubber seal that goes under the head on the distributor side. This has recently failed and the car started leaking oil like mad. There is absolutely nothing else wrong with the engine, but because of this I have to take off the head, change the head gasket, to replace the $5 rubber seal.
The car is still comparable on performance with anything that has 4 cylinders. I use the car on an everyday basis and since we have good, relatively dry and mild conditions older cars do not suffer from corrosion as much.
