1980 Renault Fuego GTX 2.0 from Romania

Summary:

I love this car!

Faults:

Being a 25 year-old car, everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong until now.

The engine was the main problem (fuel consumption around 25l/100km) so I replaced it with a 1.6 Diesel from a Peugeot 106. I haven't changed the gear box yet, so the maximum speed right now is about 120km/h, but I'll change that too.

Probably the most important improvement was a Clarion mp3 player, it makes driving so much more fun.

General Comments:

I love this car! My grandfather bought it 15 years ago, and since last year, when I got my driver's licence it's mine.

It handles pretty well, but because it's a light car it tends to be a little unpredictable, but it's comfortable and when I'm in it I feel it's a part of me.

For it's age it's a great car, if you want a cheap sporty and still modern car, it's the best choice.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

- In 2006, a 1980 is by no means modern!!! It's actually a pterodactyl!!!

Would like to know the conversion data and specs for the 1.6 Diesel if possible.
