I had 2 mondeos before I got my Laguna. I had no problems with them whatsoever. I'm not expecting VW/Audi/BMW reliability from my Renault. If it was as reliable as a Mondeo I'd be happy.

If you are prepared to spend 20k on a car and accept faults well bigger fool you, regardless of cost you expect it to be built right.

Furthermore Renault are TRYING to play ball with the likes of BMW and AUDI, but are falling a long way short.

BMW/AUDI cost more anyway because they are better built.

Renault won't dare charge any more for it's cars as they are already overpriced poorly built French junk!!

My next car will NOT have a Renault badge on the front.

My Renalt Lagoona is truly rubbish it is always breaking down again and again it is positively rubbish.

I made the mistake of importing on of these nightmares to St Lucia (West Indies) where we have no Renault dealers!! What was I thinking of? In a small island filled with ultra reliable Japanese models, this car in it's misleading shroud of good looks is nothing, but an unreliable embarrassment :-(

Thank You I have seen a renault laguna this morning took it for a test drive & it was making a funny noise they are going to put it right. I think I am going to change my mind as I drive a BMW that has done a 114000 on the clock,

I thought it might start costing big money now.

Trust me, if you buy one of these, it will cost you a lot more in the long run.

Regarding the BMW and AUDI vs Renault, I think you're just making excuses for Renault's poor showing. Besides, money would have been better spent buying an older more luxurious car from a more reliable brand, like Lexus.
