1999 Rover - Austin Mini Classic 1.3mpi from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Excellent fun for short journeys

Faults:

There has been little problems with the car with the exception of new battery's being required mainly due to lack of use.

New battery in 2001.

New battery in 2003.

New battery in 2005.

Rear wheel brake seized at 3500 miles.

No other problems to date.

General Comments:

The car is only used as a bit of summer fun and garaged the rest of the time.

The drive is excellent fun and it is a blast flying around the country lanes.

The ride is very firm and as I'm over 6 feet tall I do find it a bit cramped on longer journeys.

I always service the car fully every year even though it only does a few hundred miles a year and never comes out in the rain. This has proved a good way to keep the car reliable.

These must be the most fun things on four wheels that I've ever driven it will always make you smile and people always comment on my little red devil.

Still have the car. Have now done just over 5000 miles and still going great. Also amazed at the value of minis - they're now getting very expensive to buy.

1999 Rover - Austin Mini Cooper Sportspack 1.3 petrol from UK and Ireland

Faults:

Minor irritations, such as faulty fuel gauge, exhaust bracket bent.

General Comments:

You can't help grinning when you're driving one of these. Gets you noticed!

Don't pay full price - plenty of dealers willing to talk.
