2011 SAAB 9-5 NG Vector 2.0 TiD from Poland

Summary:

Great car to look at and drive

Faults:

Nothing apart from seat's heating and the tail light bar failure when I got it, which are common things on that model. Otherwise it goes smooth and nice.

General Comments:

Very nice, unique look, and well designed (both interior and exterior). I've mapped the engine to have 190 HP. It's very spacious but nimble to drive.

No problem with parts so far; many match with the Opel Insignia and Buick Regal. The engine was produced by FIAT; a very good motor.

Aero versions with petrol engines will become collector’s cars for sure. I'm on a lookout to get one with low mileage.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

GM should have developed a turbo diesel V6 with 220 HP and 500 Nm of torque for the 9-5, if they had any interest in saving Saab at all, which clearly they didn't. In fact, they even made difficult for Spyker to save Saab.

GM with Saab and Ford with Volvo were like “cancers” to these good companies. Saab was destroyed by GM and Ford nearly did the same to Volvo. The lack of ethics will bring them both undone.
