1991 SAAB 9000 CDE review from UK and Ireland
"Superbly crafted missile!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Hmmmm...
Bottom ball joint on the o/s/f suspension arm.
Basically that's it.
General comments?
Superb car!
I was very fortunate to get this car. 3 people before me had rung up but never bothered to turn up (thanks guys!!) to look at it. I travelled 100 miles & I can only praise the 2 owners before me. This car is immaculate, full dealer, then specialist history. Last owner spent 4.5k in the last 2 years, all receipts etc. All I have had to do is get it serviced!
This is a wonderful car to drive, once you get used to certain things.
The throttle, clutch & gearchange are all quite stiff but are in keeping with the whole feel of the car. It just feels so well put together. It has done 170k+ but still nothing is soggy, sloppy or broken!
The interior is luxurious, suoer comfortable (heated) leather seats, electric everything, climate control, computer etc... In short you are really spoilt!
The ride is excellent, the steering is well weighted, you know what the front wheels are doing... useful considering you have 200 horsies going through them!
The engiine is a peach, smooth if driven normally, brutal when really worked! Believe me, this may not be the fastest away from the lights, but once you are going... oh boy!! :-) )
Overall I would say that if you can find one with history that has been looked after, you will not find a better car for the money. Me, I paid £1,400 for mine & I feel I got a bargain!
