1987 Seat Ibiza SLX 1.5 litre from Australia and New Zealand
Summary:
Stylish design, nice highway cruiser
Faults:
I bought it at the side of the road quite cheaply. The only problem was a rusty tailgate which wasn’t worth fixing, so I sold it to a friend of my mechanic.
General Comments:
Beautiful design which I had always admired. Very spacious vehicle. I had previously owned a Fiat Uno also designed by Giugiaro for 10 years and the Ibiza was even better looking. Tall gearing which allowed it to cruise easily at 130 km/h. Carburettor engine meant five pumps on the accelerator pedal got it started first time every time.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
