2006 Seat Ibiza 1.4 Sport D.A.B. 100PS 1.4 100 PS (BHP) from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Absolutely brilliant, I'd happily buy another!

Faults:

Nothing, It's been absolutely faultless!!

General Comments:

Handles extremely well especially in the wet.

Averages 43 mpg and goes like a rocket when above 4500 rpm.

Cabin's a bit dark inside although the bright yellow paint helps brighten things up.

Has air con and a DAB digital radio as well as an Ipod connector in the glove box!

Ideal model if you want a bit of performance, but don't want to pay the earth in insurance. (Its only group 4, an FR or Cupra is group 14 or 16!)

2006 Seat Ibiza Cupra TDi 1.9 TDi from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Fast, cheap to run car that keeps up with most petrol hot hatches!!!

Faults:

Small dent found on rear quarter panel on collection of car - dealer has assured me this will be removed as soon as possible.

Cupra badge missing from drivers side - dealer has ordered replacement.

General Comments:

Car is very quick with rapid acceleration, pulls like nothing I've ever driven before in any gear, traction can suffer on wet roads though.

Eye-catching, aggressive looking car, Cupra extras make it look very up to date especially the wheels with red four-pot calipers bulging out which do a very good job of stopping the car as quickly as it accelerates.

Handling seems very good so far (only done 300 miles), firm ride (not too firm-just right) makes car feel very controlled and sporty.

Interior is very nice, seats are comfortable with plenty of support, dashboard layout is tidy and easy to use with sporty red illumination throughout, have read about people complaining that the interior is too dark I would say this makes the interior, again Cupra touches make it a bit more special. All materials used look and feel good quality (worlds apart from old Seats) with a lot of VW parts showing up which is no bad thing.

Fuel consumption is another plus of this car only done town driving ie. stuck in traffic and still averages 44 mpg.

After never considering a diesel before I'm very impressed by the car so far and would recommend to anyone wanting something a bit different from the usual Golf GT TDI!

Its still early days should my opinion change i'll update my comments.

Just bought an 06 Black 1.9 Ibiza Cupra, traded in a 56 Honda Civic, previously had a 2001 Leon Cupra T.

Wow, what a car. Have to be real careful that I don't kill myself! Quite poor in wet conditions though, but that just adds to the buzz!
