Faults:

Heater resistor failed-only works on max speed. Common fault on this model.

Front brake pad retaining bolts seized.

Engine mountings gone soft-replaced.

Speedo cable failed-replaced.

Sump gasket-leaking replaced.

CV joint covers perished & split replaced.

General Comments:

Reliable car despite all the above problems, but bear in mind the mileage!

Has always started, has good performance in a big car, & despite the problems a bond has grown between us.

I still think VW reputation is overrated (& getting worse) but being a home mecahnic there are many motor factor specializing in VW/Audi spares which allows for the cars to go on for ever!!!

Faults:

In the time that a got this car I only chance the tires and the boogies.

The only point I have is the sound that you hear from the wind outside, inside the car!

General Comments:

This model from seat is a great car to drive in.

Its not the fastest, but it's a great family car for a low price!!!

Take the low garage costs... just turn the key, and drive...

Only for the a.p.k its coming there..

Hit got powerstearing, lots of space in the back etc...

Great car " volkswagen ".

No " GOLF " for me...
