2018 Skoda Superb Sportline 2.0 TDi from UK and Ireland
Summary:
Best all round car
Faults:
Nothing but servicing. The car needed a few parts that I would class as wear and tear (brake pads, and so on) but nothing major.
Cosmetically, the car looks like new inside and out, incredible for an 8 year old car.
Air-con starting to feel weaker, but maybe just needs a re-gas.
General Comments:
Stunning white Superb Sportline, this is the perfect saloon in my opinion.
Large enough for all your needs, good looking, nice to drive, economical, what is not to like? I am genuinely trying to find negatives about this car and I struggle to do so. Two years and over 10,000 miles later I still look forward to driving it.
Classic 2.0 TDi engine is both fast and good on fuel. I regularly get around 50 mpg without tying. Why bother with electric or hybrids? Modern diesels nailed both performance and economy decades ago.
Super comfortable and spacious, sport seats are a joy to sit in for short or long journeys. The car has all the electronics and phone connectivity feature you could expect.
Exterior looks amazing in white paint with grey 19 inch diamond cut alloys, inside a similar story, black/grey alcantra, soft touch controls and materials.
The car has a premium feel, I thought Skoda being the cheaper to buy brand compared to Volkswagen, would feel a step down from my old Volkswagen Passat, but honestly these cars are very, very similar in quality.
A bit overpriced on the used market, but look for a good one and they are worth it; buy a Superb with low miles and service history and you have the perfect car for long term driving.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
