2009 Suzuki Swift XS 1.5 petrol from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Excellent value for money

Faults:

No problems with the car.

General Comments:

We purchased this car from the main Suzuki dealer near us, but it was a Japanese import - not NZ new. We chose this car as it had all the features of the LTD version (additional airbags, fog lights, alloys etc), but was a fraction of the price.

We looked at other versions, like the sport, but the ride wasn't as smooth and the plastics made a noise.

The car we chose was in excellent condition. My only complaints were for the stereo, which required a band expander and wasn't capable of playing MP3s. Also the fuel consumption gauge was displaying the Japanese format, which is different from the equation we usually use in NZ.

Otherwise I am exceptionally happy with the Swift, and enjoy driving it.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Read your user manual; you can change the economy gauge to either average or instant L/100km. The red & green buttons are not just decoration.
