2001 Suzuki XL-7 Limited 2.7 V6 from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

Best SUV on the market

Faults:

Nothing at all, a very reliable SUV.

General Comments:

This is a very reliable and practical SUV. Leaves my Honda for dead when we are Off Road. It seats 7 and has a very powerful V6 engine. Overall a quality built SUV!

2001 Suzuki XL-7 Touring 2.7 Liter V6 from North America

Summary:

A sad excuse for a driving machine

Faults:

An annoying dash noise that developed during the drive home from the dealership the evening I purchased the SUV.

I have experienced squally breaks since it was 4 months old. It's just over a year now.

The clutch went out when the car was 11 months. It Took a month to "fix", the dealer claimed manufacturer couldn't supply parts. Vehicle hasn't driven properly since. The stick intermittently gets stuck in second and won't go into third.

When the SVU was 6 months old the right rear passenger seat slide track was so worn out it needed to be replaced in order to keep the seat in place.

General Comments:

I wish I had bought another Honda. I've never been so unhappy with a car. I can't wait until I can afford to replace my XL-7.

I have owned my XL-7 for 12 months now, and my opinion of it is the opposite of this writers! Mine has no squeaks or rattles, and has had no problems at all during the past year. If the worst thing this Reviewer can criticize is a dash rattle, then it can't be all that bad. Let's face it, worn out Clutches and seat controls sound like problems caused by bad habits. This SUV is the best car that I have ever owned, and it leaves Honda for dust when you take them off-road,where real four wheel drives live!!!

Summary:

A must-evalutate for anyone looking for a sturdy value.

Faults:

None. It need to be aligned upon delivery, but other than that, it has been perfect.

General Comments:

A very nice size: not too wide when parking. Large enough to carry my dining room table & six chairs.

Can seat seven when needed, though the back 2 are not in luxury.

A great value.

Rear A/C has been very helpful in the Deep South (US).

This review is a venting that I (hope) made the writer feel better. However, it offers NO real help to anyone else. No dealer name was mentioned (as the discussed problems mainly were related to dealer responses). No detail was given on the problems the reviewer experienced. Over all, pretty childish. Actually, VERY childish.
