2019 Toyota Corolla Icon 1.2 VVTi from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Impressive little car

Faults:

Nothing in two years, the car was bought used with low miles in perfect condition.

General Comments:

The modern Corolla is classic Toyota - simple and reliable. I have had this car for two years and it has not missed a beat.

Silver, 5 door hatch model. Icon spec is a nice one with all the modern electrics you could want. It's a very comfortable and quiet little car, and has enough space for a small family or two adults on their own.

Nice to drive, 1.2 is no performance engine, but is very economical for a modern petrol engine as expected.

Super low running costs, practicality and reliability, it's like the perfect car!

A bit expensive to buy initially on an over priced used market, but worth it for a good one and certainly a better car than your average Ford Focus or Vauxhall Astra or whatever you want to compare it to.

Only thing better is a more modern version - I am thinking of going for the 1.8 hybrid estate version for my next car in a few years time, but enjoying this one for now!

2019 Toyota Corolla Sports Tourer Icon 1.8 from UK and Ireland

Summary:

A beauty with loads of safety features as standard

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

The door open chime when driving is a high pitched noise; it's not beep beep, it's more beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

Speed sign recognition is so handy and a money saver for speeding fines.

The body panels are a mix of metal, plastic and the moulded resin the bonnet is made from.

The boot has 2 levels for floor depth.

I have no reversing sensors, just reverse camera.

2019 Corolla hybrid 1.8 estate update. The best MPG I can get is 76 MPG in Eco mode. Watch the tyre pressure to get this high MPG.

Absolutely hate the built in sat nav; it's bloody useless.

2019 Toyota Corolla Sports Tourer Sol 1.8 from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Safe relaxed driving

Faults:

Nothing so far.

General Comments:

No spare wheel, just a compressor and sealant.

43 litre fuel tank.

No parking sensors, just a rear facing camera.

Relaxing to drive, firm supportive seats, electric lumbar support.

Tinted windows, LED lights in the boot.

Keep an eye on the engine oil level.

The safety features are what I was after; anti swaying, lane centering is cool, radar cruise control (the way it copies the car ahead of you), and lane assist is very good.

58 MPG on my first run, but mostly in the 50s.
