Summary:

A great idea concept that is reliable, too bad it dosn't fit American tastes

Faults:

The only thing not working in the Air conditioner,it works just needs expensive r-12 freon.

Other than that stop light switch has failed and the radiator Hose tubes from front to rear have leaked (minor)

General Comments:

I Wish it was still made for America I love this Odd van. It Is perfectly balanced and handles like a sports car. Two Drive shafts off of one engine and oil add system and dependability have sold me on Toyota. With 200K miles now it just keeps going not even a water pump or timing chain! (or Oil Leak!)

I have started doing the maintenance my self, 1 st spark plugs were in 120K miles as dealer didn't know how to change them, (but charged us for them) Fast lube places are LOST under it so it is easier to get a manual and do it your self.

Summary:

Most reliable set of wheels I have ever had the pleasure of owning!

Faults:

Front disk brakes suffer from easy heat warping, requiring 3 change overs since new.

Heater controls burnt out at 350000 KM, now only work on 1 or 4th speed. AC bled out at 400000 KM, too costly to justify rebuild to new rules (original still used Freon)

New transmission at 390000KM, but only because we cracked it wide open on a boulder on the Trans-Canada in Northern Ontario (you got it... no dealers there!)

New starter and alternator at 420000 KM, starter need new brushes (3rd time) and the Alternator had worn out through the brass brush bearings.

New exhaust at 489000 KM (installed used one from Previa in Junk Yard that had only 115000 KM on it... way cheaper)

Some rust through on Rear Fenders where they meet Bumper mouldings... worth fixing and painting.

General Comments:

Best vehicle, bar none, that we have ever owned... I expect to get many more clicks out of it in the next few years as my daughters go though University and Ski the Rockies.

I only wish that the NEW Previas that I have driven for work overseas where they are still available, would become available here in Canada!
