2017 Vauxhall Corsa EcoFlex SRi VX Line 1.4 petrol from UK and Ireland
Summary:
Impressive first car
Faults:
Nothing so far.
General Comments:
My Corsa in black 2017 new shape model is a great first car, 5 door version.
Very practical, boot space is a joke but it will take 4 passengers in comfort. Not bad for a small car.
Inside is smooth and quiet, dash is laid out well, controls are intuitive.
Nice to drive. 1.4 petrol engine has the "ecoflex" technology applied to it (I thought only diesels had this) its performance isn't great (0-60 mph in 13 seconds!) but with around 45 - 50 mpg from petrol I cannot complain, this cars running costs are as good as it gets, reasonable tax and insurance, and service cost has been cheap.
Bloody great looking VX Line body-kit and alloy wheels, really is a nice spec worth it above the regular SRi model.
If you are thinking of buying one as a first car they are perfect, or for someone wanting to downsize their car to cut costs but still want a reliable modern run about, you cannot beat the Corsa. Just make sure the car you buy has full history, there are a lot of rough ones out there for sale, and I mean LOTS, so buy carefully. Took me months to find this one. A looked after Corsa is a rare find.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
