2003 Vauxhall Frontera Olympus 2.2 DTi turbo diesel from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Tough quality workhorse

Faults:

Rear exhaust box replaced at 62,000.

Rear disk brake replaced at 58000 (sticking on).

Alarm sounder replaced.

General Comments:

Quality product - excellent tow car, though a little crude and the ride is poor. It has not been off road.

Handling is superb for the size and type of car.

Zero oil consumption during a year's driving.

Gearbox magnetic drain plugs never have any debris at all on them - unbelievable!

Only down side is that there is some rust on the body.

Fuel consumption can be up to 40 MPG if you drive it with a light foot.

2003 Vauxhall Frontera Olympus SWB 2.2 petrol from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Excellent

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong with this car. It is in excellent order with no noises or whining.

General Comments:

This car does in no way deserve the bad press that it receives. I drive it 800 miles once a month with no problems. It is comfy and easy to drive.

The only negative is the fuel consumption; I get 350 miles out of 50 quid. Other than that, it's a great buy.
