It's at it again!

You realy don't want to be buying one of these Vectra's.

Still finding it funny to drop me down to 1,000 revs in the outer lanes of Motorways.

My local main dealer have explained to me, that even though the car is under warranty, they will not relace major parts due to cost! As they are only a franchise and Vauxhall may not cover the cost, comforting!

The car however is going in for a replacement break switch, as they think this may be the cause of the problem?

So keep your fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

Well, here we are 18 months on and my tempremental Vectra is still at it!

I have now had a new fuel pump, Turbo, Brake switch, all the pipework replaced on the engine, etc, etc.

Any ideas?

Now 72,000 miles on the clock and the old girl is still trying it on!

I have now replaced the Turbo on two occasions and the fuel pump. Today I have had the Steering Rack replaced, drive arms on the wipers replaced due to wear (During which, the dealer broke my windscreen) and the mechanics are looking into my boot! This is due to the beautiful water feature I now have around my spare tire.

Anyone considering buying one of these, think carefully before committing, the resale value of my £17,000 model is now approx £3,000 just two on from brand new!

132,000 on the clock now, not bad I here you say? But considering 50,000 has been done on a rolling road trying to fix faults, not good I say. The value of the car, even though imaculate is now around £1,800. It just cost £1,500 to get it through the MOT! And tomorrow, I get a new heated rear window, air con fixed and heater fixed, also the brakes need adjustment and the engine is again miss firing!

I will miss this car when it goes, as all of my best friends are Vauxhall mechanics and who will feed my fish in the water feature in the boot?

Wow, it sounds like a right nightmare of car. My current car (MR2 Turbo) is slowly giving up and needs to be replaced soon by something with a larger boot, will eat the motorways and be as economical as possible. To be used as a daily drive.

It was a 02 plate I was looking at today, I didn't drive it but checked it all over. It's a solid car but thought It would be best to come and read comments here first of all before wasting the seller's time and going for a test drive.

Thanks for taking your time to post the experience of the car over the years of ownership.

Going to pick up my 2002 Vectra SXi DTi 2.0 on Friday, after reading up. Some say they are very good, and some say stay away. Hope I get a good one. If anyone has one that's good, please can you tell me. I would like to know if I am going to have a bad time. Thank you.

Hello everyone, I'm looking into buying a 2002 Vauxhall Vectra 2.0 DTi Club for £1400 with 96,000 miles on the clock. Was wondering if anyone could advise me on whether this is a good idea, or am I wasting my money? Thanks.
