1969 Volkswagen Beetle review from North America
"One of the best cars I've ever owned"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Over the past 32 years that my family has owned this car, almost everything has needed upkeep or replacement, including:
Generator.
Brakes.
Shocks/suspension.
Clutch.
Steering mechanism.
Interior (seats, flooring and roof).
Exterior (paint, bumpers).
Oil lines.
General comments?
With regular maintenance, this is a great little car. It's carried various members of my family over 400,000 miles in its lifetime.
This car can be very expensive to fix, unless you can do it yourself. Good replacement parts are definitely hard to come by, unless you live in a major center.
