1976 Volkswagen Golf GS 1.6L 4 cylinder from Australia and New Zealand

Summary:

An unreliable piece of junk

Faults:

-Engine blew $2000 to replace

-Crack in dashboard

-Accelerator pedal broke

-Gearbox wrecked

-Exhaust broke.

General Comments:

This car is not a really good car, it is actually really unreliable and always breaks down and I am very dissappionted with it. I wish I could get a new car, but I can't afford it. The dealer that sold it to me lied about everything about the car and I regret ever buying it. I do not recommend anyone to make the mistake that I made in buying this unreliable car.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

Maybe its just the way you drove it. Blown engine? Wrecked Gearbox? Accelerator pedal falling off? Give the car a break. They weren't made to be driven on the red-line.

If that was the only problem in 27 years of age for the car, you have done well. considering I still see new cars with blown engines and gearboxes (my fathers jaguar) brand new, engine blew in the first week.

Just a thought..
