1992 Volkswagen Golf Cti 1.8i 8V petrol from South Africa

Faults:

I am the second owner of this car, it currently has 110,000 Km on the clock, and besides the usual wear-and-tear, I have never had a problem with it. The shape is out-dated (Golf Mk I), the plastic interior not of the highest quality, door panels thin and noisy.

General Comments:

If you want a reliable car, buy a VW. I am so impressed with this car, that my next car will definitely be a Golf Mk IV GTi or similar.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I owned a 92' CTi, burgundy in colour, and by far the best MK1 golf I have owned, although not as Quick as my 83'MK 1 GTi, really enjoyed the car, and can kick myself for selling her.

I sold her with just over 200 000km on the clock, and of the 3 people who came to test drive the car, they all commented on how great the engine sounded for the km, s, I would buy it back in a minute if I could...

I currently own a Golf CTI 1992 model and I have had her for the last 2 years. With a brand new motor a 277 degree cam, metallic baby blue and 97kw under the hood I'm satisfied. The new outlay of the golfs is dissapointing and so are the motors, take the Life for example nice car, but a CTI wanna be.

All you CTI drivers be proud of your lady she's one in a million!!!

Kind regards

Brendan.

I purchased a 93 CTi a month ago, its is the best small pocket rocket I have ever driven. When anyone else on the roads sees my car they always try to dice me. but the Cti always wins. it is a fantastic car.
