2018 Volkswagen T-Roc TSi EVO SE 1.5 petrol from UK and Ireland

Summary:

OK!

Faults:

I have had the car two years with no issues. Just services and wear and tear items. If I am being really picky - there is a little bit of interior trim rattle now, and the air con is weaker now. Nothing out of the ordinary for a seven year old car.

General Comments:

The T-Roc is a decent modern solid car if you just need reliability and comfort. I have found this car to be an excellent workhorse and family vehicle.

My car is white, a 2018 model, SE spec is very nice. Lovely alloy wheels. Interior has the typical VW quality feel and built very well. Materials are high class and have a nice finish. The car is quiet on the go. I could care less about the modern phone connectivity features, but they are there if you need them.

1.5 petrol engine is a good one - it's powerful enough for everyday driving and does a genuine 45 mpg + on petrol with a mix of town/motorway drives. I preferred its quietness and smoothness over the diesel version I test drove before purchase.

It's nothing special, but it's a whole lot better than my previous Ford Kuga which gave me no end of trouble. The T-Roc won't be a car you will remember, but for a modern cross over SUV type vehicle, you could do a lot worse than one of these. Easily one of the best in its class.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
