Summary:

A modern classic

Faults:

I had to replace the passenger side front strut, because the former owner had "fixed" the old one.

This past year the car did not pass smog.

The real window wiper was destroyed by the previous owner.

General Comments:

The car always starts and always gets me were I am going.

The cabin is comfortable and well appointed.

The car has an overall heavy safe feel about it.

It is able to seat four adult males comfortably on long trips.

Did I mention I bought the car for $450? You can keep your overrated Japanese cars.

Made a mistake. The car is a 245 not a 242. He recently broke down, due to lack of spark, it turned out to be a broken wire. $0.10 I was back up and running! I bought this car in 2001 for almost nothing and this was the only problem that I have ever had. Toyota eat your heart out!
