2007 Volvo C70 II T5 2.5 petrol from Belgium

Summary:

Sporty, reliable, lot of extras

Faults:

The hydraulic pump and pressure valve may fail, causing errors in the movement of the roof (the car is convertible). There are multiple roof position sensors that can fail, as well as broken wires that affect operation. The roof can generate noises, which can sometimes be solved by lubricating the weather strips, but it may require visits to the workshop.

Occasionally, the ABS module experiences internal failures, which manifest themselves with the system's warning light coming on. This does not affect the vehicle's normal operation.

Misfires and overheating can also occur, it only happened to me twice but it is something to keep in mind.

General Comments:

The most important thing about this car is its comfort, quality, and safety. It's very comfortable for two people, and trips are truly enjoyable.

It offers a comfortable cabin, cozy seats, and a well-equipped interior with a luxurious feel.

It features a surprisingly spacious trunk for a convertible, as well as centrally locking storage compartments and a private locking system for added security. It also offers a high level of safety, including curtain airbags and roll bars that deploy in the event of a rollover.

The engine is a 2.5-liter 5-cylinder petrol that requires (the manufacturer recommends) premium fuel. It delivers smooth power with good torque, ideal for cruising. It has proven to be quite reliable; so far, I haven't had any issues with its operation. This, combined with the car's sporty aerodynamics, makes it agile and capable of overtaking.

2007 Volvo C70 T5 2.5 litre turbo from North America

Summary:

It is not a sports car, but I am very happy

Faults:

The passenger window comes up when the roof is done closing, but then backs part way down again. (the others remain up)

There is minor water leakage in a heavy rain or car wash.

General Comments:

This car feels much larger and solid and heavier than our previous Sunfire.

It is not quick, but is quite a fast cruiser. Easily and calmly in the 160-200 kph range.

The seats are very comfortable, but the armrest on the door leaves something to be desired. The armrest is too low and the window sill is too high to rest your arm. And my wife's arm tends to rest on the express down button for all four windows.
