The fact that the Chinese now own Volvo has turned out to be a positive. Ford ownership turned out to be a disaster.

Here the original reviewer again. Almost exactly two years later and at 26.000 km the car has been flawless and a joy to drive. I still discover little things it does for me to make my life easier. I know I haven't driven it much, but so far so good. I couldn't be happier with my S60.

The original reviewer again, exactly one year later. Loving the car. At 37.000 km now and looking and driving like new. In the last year it needed both batteries to be changed. Fun to drive and a nice place to be in. Starting to think that in the not so far future I may want a new car, but at this point I don't see a car in the local market (Chile) that would be a candidate to replace my S60. Maybe I'll keep it for a few more years.

Here is the original reviewer again. Now at 48.000 km the car runs beautifully, but it had a major and expensive failure. The air conditioning gas leaked from the evaporator and the compressor was damaged. Both were replaced, and it was expensive to do. I plan to keep driving the car. I haven't seen yet another car that might replace it. I hope I won't have more expensive surprises in the near future.

Here is the original reviewer again. At 62.000 km and almost 6 years I have new issues to report that appeared in the last year. First a CV joint needed replacement. Then it was the starter motor (so all the eventual savings that the start/stop system provided were more than erased by this repair). Last, the front suspension control arms needed replacement. Despite all this, I still love this car. I have tested a few eventual replacements for my Volvo, but nothing comes close. The interior is very well designed and it still looks like new. From outside the car looks like new too and it is a pleasure driving it. It definitely doesn't look like a six year old car. I guess I'll keep driving it.

Here the original reviewer again. This is my last review because today my Volvo is going, part of the deal for a new car. After six years and almost six months and 67,000 kilometers I still love this car. My last problem was the right CV joint (months ago too was the left). Yes, it needed expensive repairs but it is a joy to drive and watch it standing in my driveway. If Volvo still sold this model new, I'd buy it, but now everything is electric or electrified and no Volvo sedans are sold here where I live.

I feel it is a reasonable period of ownership and I am a little scared of possible expensive repairs, so it is going. I will miss my Volvo anyway.

What is coming? I´m going back to Lexus. It is a brand new beautiful Lexus IS 300H F sport. This is a configuration sold in very few countries nowadays. I'll be posting about my new car in a few months.

Thanks for all the updates. The S60 is a fantastic car. I live in the UK and there are not many new traditional sedan/saloon cars available here to buy either. Definitely not interested in electric crossovers (that is all most manufacturers seem to sell now). So I am considering a used Volvo S60 or S90 saloon, diesel or petrol. Last of the best of these types of cars.
