2009 Volvo S80 FWD 3.2 from North America

Summary:

May be the best car ever made

Faults:

Does anything go wrong with Volvos? Didn't know that :)

General Comments:

Having the car for 3 months with not a single issue. The general comment for this car can be comfy, great...

I cannot think of a single thing I do not like about it; the Lexus I drove for 4 years seems really a consumer car covered and made up comparing to the S80.

P.s. I should beg Ford not to sell this brand to Chinese! Who can believe they'll not ruin it? That may mean I have found the love of my life at her end days of life :'(

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Your comment about "please don't sell to the Chinese" made me chuckle. This is what us Volvo fans were saying when they sold to Ford. Reliability took a big nose dive.

Please get back to us when it has reached 100-200k miles; it's a little to early to make statements like that!

2009 Volvo S80 from North America

Summary:

The rough rider

General Comments:

My friend brags so much about his 09 Volvo and he knows I'm ready to buy a new car, so told me I should buy an S80. Today we went to Delaware to play slots, and he wanted me to experience the s80.

The car looks great, it is quiet, the interior is wonderful, love how the navigation pops up, this is a balanced vehicle.

However, this car does not ride soft like a Towncar.

The suspension is a big turn off to me, it is a controlled hard ride, a rough rider.

I do not understand how Volvo can present this beautiful flagship to the American public with that hard suspension.

If only Volvo made this car with the option of soft suspension, I would buy one, but as it now stands, I just cannot purchase a beautiful rough rider. Ted.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

Though I accept this point of view, I bet the Volvo is much more fun to drive than the Town Car. Show them the bends (admittedly more here in the UK, than US!) and the Volvo will lead the way! The S80 is otherwise a fantastic vehicle...

How many minutes you drove the S80? If it had softer suspension you would buy one, and still based on your test you give it a 0/10!!!
